How to Configure Your PlantPro SmartView Camera

This guide will walk you through the steps required to set up and configure your PlantPro SmartView Camera. Follow these steps to seamlessly integrate the camera into your existing system and start monitoring your plants like a pro.

1. Printing the Camera Case

​

  1. Download the Case: The 3D-printable case for the SmartView Camera can be downloaded from our site. Look for the download link where the SmartView Camera is mentioned.

  2. Material Choice: Print the parts from PLA material.

  3. Outdoor Precautions: 
    - If you're using the camera outdoors, apply several coats of UV-proof paint to the printed case. 
    -  Inspect for holes or gaps that might allow rainwater to get in. 
    - If the camera will be exposed to high     wind and rain, consider adding seals or caulking for extra protection.

  4. 3D Printing: Use your 3D printer to print the case, adhering to the specifications mentioned alongside the download link.

2. Assembling the Camera in the Case

  1. Pre-Assembly Check: Before inserting the camera, assemble the case to make sure all the parts you printed fit properly. If needed, make adjustments or reprint faulty parts.

  2. Open the Case: Carefully open the pre-assembled case.

  3. Insert the Camera: Place the SmartView Camera inside the case, making sure it fits snugly.

  4. Close the Case: Securely close the case.

3. Powering the Camera

  1. Connect Micro USB: Plug a micro USB cable into the port on the camera.

  2. Power Source: Connect the other end of the micro USB cable to a computer or a 5-volt power supply.

  3. Wait: Allow a few minutes for the camera to power up.

4. Connecting to Wi-Fi

​

  1. Locate Network: Open your device’s Wi-Fi settings and look for the "GrowBot" or "NourishBot" network.

  2. Select Network: Choose either the "GrowBot" or "NourishBot" network. No password is required, and it should connect automatically.

5. Accessing the Web Interface

​

  1. Open Web Browser: Open a web browser on a device connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

  2. Navigate: Enter the IP address 192.168.4.1 in the address bar and press enter.

​6. Final Setup

​

  1. Choose Your Wi-Fi: Select your home Wi-Fi network from the list.

  2. Enter Wi-Fi Password: Type in your Wi-Fi password and confirm.

  3. Enter Email: Input your email address in the designated field.

  4. Confirmation: Once you submit your email, you will receive an email containing your login information for the SmartView Camera.
